WEWOKA, Oklahoma -

A shooting in the town of Wewoka in Seminole County sends at least one person to the hospital and now the OSBI has been called in to help investigate.

The shooting happened Monday evening near the intersection of W. 12th Street and S. Ocheese Avenue. It appeared the shooting may have taken place in front of a home there.

Wewoka's police chief confirmed the victim was shot at least once by a man armed with a shotgun.

The victim was rushed to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City by an air ambulance. A hospital spokeswoman said early Tuesday morning that the victim was in "fair condition."

When News 9 last spoke with the police chief and Seminole County Sheriff, we were told they think they know who the suspect is, but at last check no one has been arrested. No motive was mentioned by authorities.
