Sand Springs Police Release More Information In Attempted Rape Case

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -

Sand Springs Police released additional information about a man who attacked a female jogger in River City Park Sunday afternoon.

The victim told officers she was jogging when a white male on a bicycle produced a handgun and knife and tried to rape her.

On Monday, Police released more information, saying say the victim told them the man is in his late 40s to early 50s and was wearing a white ball cap and sunglasses.

On Sunday, police said the victim reported the man had blonde or gray hair and was wearing a blue shirt and cargo shorts. The woman told officers he was riding a black bicycle.

Sand Springs Police say the woman fought with the attacker and he may have suffered a cut or stab wound on his leg.
