Angel McCoughtry of the Atlanta Dream and Glory Johnson of the Tulsa Shock were named the WNBA's Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played June 17 through June 23 on Monday.

Johnson recorded two double-doubles last week while averaging 17.3 points and a Western Conference-best 10.0 rebounds as Tulsa recorded a 2-1 mark. The second-year player scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Tulsa top Chicago, 83-74, on June 20, and added another 14 points and 12 boards as the Shock defeated Seattle, 92-70, on June 22. Johnson capped the week with a game-high 24 points and eight rebounds in an 88-79 loss at conference-leading Minnesota on June 23. Johnson has scored in double figures in each of the Shock's 11 games this season.

The Player of the Week award is the first of Johnson's career and the first by a Shock player since the franchise began play in Tulsa in 2010.

McCoughtry led Atlanta to a 78-77 road win over Connecticut on June 23 with 34 points, which tied the highest single-game output in the WNBA this season. She also added five rebounds, three steals, two assists and a career-high-tying 14 made field goals in the win. The victory improved the Dream's overall mark to 7-1, tops in the Eastern Conference. For the fifth-year pro, the Player of the Week honor is her second in as many weeks and third of the season, as well as the 10th of her career.

Other candidates for WNBA Players of the Week were Chicago's Epiphanny Prince in the East, as well as Los Angeles' Lindsey Harding and Nneka Ogwumike, Minnesota's Maya Moore, Phoenix's Diana Taurasi, San Antonio's Danielle Robinson and Seattle's Tina Thompson in the West.
