It's been two weeks since an Oklahoma City high school valedictorian went missing while on a family trip in Ecuador.

On Sunday, the community came together for a second candlelight vigil this week, praying for August Reiger's return.

Dozens filled the lawn at Classen School of Advanced Studies, where Reiger just graduated in May. His close friends and teachers talked about good memories of Reiger and hope that they'll see him again.

Students, teachers and parents organized Sunday's vigil, the second one since Reiger's disappearance on Father's Day, June 16.

Reiger's friends lit candles, played music on their guitars and read poems of hope. Some made signs that read "Bring August Home" and "Keep the Faith." It was an emotional night as the intimate crowd joined together at the place Reiger was a standout student.

"Just ways that we can help show support for the family especially, to know that we care so much about him and have so much hope that we will have him back home soon," said family friend, Amy Sergent.

"I was very sad and I'm very worried. I hoped he'd be okay and still hope that he's alright somewhere," said former classmate, Brandon Risenhoover.

"We can't be in Ecuador searching for August and this is one way that we feel like we can do something to help," said one Reiger's former teachers, Brandon Risenhoover.

The school principal, as well as Reiger's girlfriend Kaylee, were present at the vigil. The group of parents, staff and friends plans to make a big banner in Reiger's honor and place it in the front of the school.

News 9 is told Reiger's family is still in Ecuador with a police escort as the search for him continues. The U.S. embassy and state department are assisting local authorities in Ecuador in the search.
