TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Broken Arrow man was arrested late Monday on charges of maintaining a house of prostitution within a 1,000 feet of a school/church.

Aaron Wilkie Murphy, 39, along with Hong Thao Murphy, 33, were charged June 27 in Tulsa County District Court.

Court records show the couple operates a business, Midtown Massage at 4301 East 31st Street. The business is near Methodist Manor Chapel on 31st Street.

Records also show a misdemeanor charge of operating a place/soliciting prostitution filed in May 2013 was dismissed in early June with the state indicating it would re–file the charge as a felony.

Following his arrest by Broken Arrow Police, Aaron Murphy was booked into the Tulsa County jail early Tuesday. He has a court appearance set for July 11.
