A man vandalized a laundry in Sapulpa, and in the process, committed a lewd act that was caught on camera.

Police said he's also a suspect in a theft from a church and they're hoping someone will recognize him and turn him in.

Sapulpa Police said the man who broke into the machines at the laundromat had his pants down for a while inside. Most people out here couldn't see what was going on because of this mirrored glass.

The wanted signs are posted outside the Sapulpa laundry, with pictures of the man who vandalized the place Friday morning.

The business is open 24 hours, and the owner said it's the first time he's had a problem.

"It's roughly about $2,000 of damage to the machines, plus the money in the machines that he had taken," Sapulpa Laundry's Eric Davis said.

Davis has video of the man walking in about 6:30 a.m.

He spent almost an hour inside, using a screwdriver and sledgehammer trying to open up the coin box in a dozen machines.

But in the middle of all that, the man stops for a sex act that's caught on camera, while he appears to be watching people at the donut shop next door.

"Somebody like this needs to be caught," Davis said.

Davis has warned all of the neighboring businesses and alerted the police, who said after the man left the laundry, he found an unlocked door at the First Baptist Church.

"He just walked in, got the items and left, he was seen by some construction workers, who actually talked with him; that's why we've got such a good description of him," Maj. Jeff Gilliland said.

Police have leads, but they need a positive identification from the video and a tip on where to find the man.

Davis is repairing his machines, but he's worried about a criminal who doesn't seem to care if he's on camera, clothes or not, or whether someone else might walk in.

"He took his time, he smoked three cigarettes, drank his coffee, he walked outside, just taking his sweet time," Davis said.

Sapulpa Police hope that someone recognizes their suspect from the video and contacts them, so they can arrest him before he breaks into some other place.
