A Bristow man was killed Wednesday morning in a crash with a semi truck on Highway 66 in Creek County.

The crash happened where the highway intersects with South 401st West Avenue, around 11:15 a.m.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Calvin Sherwood was killed when his 2000 Chevy truck collided with a semi truck driven by Jason Cagle, 40, of Bartlesville.

Troopers say Sherwood died at the scene. He was pinned in his truck for an hour and 47 minutes, before he was extricated by Bristow Fire Department.

OHP says Cagle was thrown from the cab of his truck. He was taken by EMS to a Tulsa hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.

Troopers say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The report on the crash only shows that Sherwood was traveling westbound and Cagle was going eastbound.

According to the OHP report, neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
