Since Adrian's fourth birthday is around the corner, Vincent said detectives gave her a present, one of which was a gift card to a local store.

Police believe the bullet that struck Adrian in the shoulder was most likely fired into the air in celebration.

The girl was hit in the left shoulder as she stood in the parking lot of a local bank. The family says doctors elected not to remove the bullet and Adrian is home recuperating.
