Thunder Dispatches Indiana To Open Summer League Play

Grant Jerrett scored 17 points and Daniel Orton scored 15 points to lead OKC to a 76-68 win over Indiana in the Orlando Summer League.

The Oklahoma City Thunder kicked off Summer League play Sunday afternoon in Orlando, knocking off Indiana, 76-68.

Rookie Grant Jerrett out of Arizona led the Thunder in scoring with 17 points, nailing 4-of-5 shots from 3-point distance while showcasing his ability to stretch the floor from the power position.

Daniel Orton, who spent most of last season in Tulsa with the 66ers scored 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, even hitting a 3-pointer.

Jeremy Lamb, who many are expecting to take on a much larger role this season with Kevin Martin going to Minnesota, scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, but shot just 5-of-16 from the field.

Rookie Steven Adams had an up-and-down first game, scoring just two points, but grabbed six boards and blocked two shots.

As a team, OKC shot an impressive 10-for-15 from 3-point range, while holding the Pacers to just 40.7 percent shooting.

The Thunder also assisted on 22 of 28 baskets, led by Dwight Buycks' 13 dimes. Buycks also scored 12 points.

Orlando Johnson led the Pacers with 17 points, while Miles Plumlee added nine points and nine rebounds.

Oklahoma City takes on Orlando Monday morning at 10 a.m. CST.
