A Green Country city is being touted one of the best in the country. Broken Arrow ranked 15th on Coldwell Banker's "Top Booming Suburb In America" list.

The population of Broken Arrow has grown by 25,000, since 2000. And if you've been to the downtown Rose District lately, you've probably noticed the construction that the city says is a sign of continuing growth.

Rabenberg has lived in Broken Arrow for most of her life, and at 22, she has no intentions of ever calling any other city home.

"I'm here to stay, I love Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. It's home to me, so I love it," she said.

It came as no surprise to Rabenberg that her hometown ranked high on the list of Top Booming Suburbs In America.

Coldwell Banker took a comprehensive look at more than 1,500 cities, basing its list off things like unemployment rates, development, city safety, schools and fun things to do outside of work.

"We were in the top one percentile in the entire nation, in terms of suburbs, and that's saying something," said Warren Unsicker, with the BA Chamber of Commerce.

Unsicker said the list proves the city really does have something for everyone.

"We're really hoping that people notice this and get the word, that we're not just saying it, but that the nation has noticed we're a growing and happening city," Unsicker said.

Jason Scarpa is one business owner who wanted to be part of that growth His East Coast style restaurant, Main Street Tavern, opened two years ago.

"I know people who grew up here really like it, but I'm one of the people who chose to move here from somewhere else, so I think that'll tell you how much I like it," Scarpa said.

The city says Broken Arrow is one of the fastest growing cities in the state, second only to Oklahoma City.

The city plans to invest $3.7 million in Main Street renovations to create an arts and entertainment district.

Bartlesville, Yukon and Moore also made the list.
