Teen Killed In Shooting At Lawton Apartment Complex

Police in Lawton are searching for the person who gunned down a 17-year-old boy Tuesday night.

A witness called police around 10:30 p.m., saying someone had been shot at Summit Village Apartments at 610 S.W. 52nd Street. The caller said someone had loaded the victim into a car and driven away.

A few minutes later, the victim arrived at Southwestern Medical Center. He'd suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. After he was stabilized, he was rushed to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where he died.

The victim's name has not been released.

Police interviewed the people who brought the victim to the hospital, and obtained evidence from the vehicle.

No one has been arrested and police have not identified any suspects. This is the 11th homicide in Lawton this year.
