Oklahoma City police are searching for a gunman, responsible for shooting two men outside a Northeast OKC bar.

Right now both men are recovering at OU Medical Center. Police tell News 9 both men were brought to the hospital in separate cars, but were in the same car when they were shot. We found one witness who saw one of the men try to drive from the scene and who almost crashed right into him.

"He would have hit me right here, and smacked me right there if I wouldn't have turned," said Caleb Guidry, who considers himself pretty lucky.

He says Phillip Jamille Harmon narrowly missed hitting him near NE 23rd and MLK just before 2 am.

"This guy comes over the hill behind me and he's flying going 45, 50 miles an hour," he recalls.

Caleb says he swerved to get out of the way, and watched as the car Harmon was in slammed into a nearby street light. That's when Caleb called 911.

"I just wanted to make sure this guy was OK."

There are still marks on the sidewalk where the car swerved and hit the pole at the corner of NE 23rd and MLK. There are even pieces of plastic littered around the ground from where the car slammed into it head on.

But Caleb says it did not stop Harmon from backing up and driving into a nearby neighborhood. Caleb had no idea that Harmon had actually been shot.

Police reports state both Harmon and another man, Fred Wayne Gordon, were at the Boots and Saddles bar near NE 23rd and Bryant around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, and were sitting in a car when they were shot.

Both have a long rap sheet and police tell us Harmon does have ties to a local gang. Right now police don't know if the shooting is gang related. Caleb is just glad he called police for help.

During a telephone interview, Harmon's fiancé told News 9 Harmon was shot in the neck and is lucky to be alive. She says he just got out of surgery and is expected to be OK. But Police tell us Gordon is still listed in critical condition.

Police are still trying to find the person who shot both men. If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
