Three victims say they had to dodge bullets after someone attempted to carjack them Thursday morning near N.W. 36th Street and Portland.

Zachary Hines says he and his brother, along with their 14-year old nephew, were approached by a man around 4:30 a.m. who pulled out a gun and demanded they give up their car. Instead of complying, the victims sped away.

The carjacker and an accomplice in a truck followed, shooting at the victims. Hines says the carjackers kept trying to run them off the road. When they reached N.W. 36th Street and Villa, the victims' turned the tables and hit one suspect's car, pushing it into a home.

After the suspect's vehicle hit the house, he jumped out and continued shooting. The suspects then left the scene.

No one was hit by bullets, and the person inside the house was not injured. Police are still searching for those suspects.
