I said of the Zimmerman trial I wasn't surprised by the ‘not guilty' verdict, that I didn't feel prosecutors had proven anything beyond self-defense. But I also acknowledged the damage I think the whole case has done to race relations. Here's what you had to say:
Dan first: "The fuel for racial tension is the Journalist who, like you, makes conjecture on something they do not know for a fact."
And Tater adds: "Not surprising that you, along with the rest of the media, have turned this into a race issue."
John from Edmond writes: "Really it's a social issue. Teach your kids to dress appropriately and to act respectful and I guarantee you they will never have to worry about getting shot by a law abiding citizen."
Nita in OKC: "It's disheartening that some people feel Zimmerman was justified. The young man committed no crime."
Janice writes from Weatherford: "I'm just glad to know that our judicial system actually worked the way it is supposed to for a change, not because of fear or politics."
And finally Sam says: "Don't dress like a punk, talk like a punk, act like a punk, and maybe you won't be taken for a punk."
