An Oklahoma man has died after he was found on the ground inside a cattle pen at a Creekstone Farms processing plant in Arkansas City.
Emergency crews responded to a call of a man hurt by a cow at Creekstone Farms around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
The man is identified as Richard Gates, 57, of Blackwell. Paramedics took him to the hospital where he later died.
Police tell KWCH TV, the CBS affiliate in Wichita, Kansas, Gates was inside a cattle pen attempting to move cattle from one pen to another, when he was apparently knocked down and injured by cattle.
A spokesman for Creekstone Farms said Gates was a trucker who worked for J. Butler Trucking Company.
