Tulsa Police: Rider Dies When Speeding Motorcycle Hits Pickup

Police have identified the man who died when his motorcycle crashed into the back of a pickup on Highway 169 early Tuesday.

Police say the man was Jeremy Oliver Dodson, 35, of Broken Arrow.

Tulsa Police say Dodson was southbound on Highway 169 just south of 71st Street at about 2:30 a.m. when he hit the back of a truck.

Officers say he was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to Tulsa Police.

EMSA paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Police say the driver of the pickup was not injured.

Police shut down the southbound lanes while they investigated the crash and Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews cleaned up the wreckage.
