Teenagers from the community of a horrific school shooting are now helping tornado victims in Oklahoma.

More than a 100 teens from all over the country are helping tornado recovery in the Newalla, Little Axe area, including 19 from Newtown, Connecticut.

In December, 20 kids and six adults were killed during a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown.

"To know that we are both going through this is pretty comforting," says Newtown's Erica Thill about the people she is now helping.

"It touches my heart," says Mark Grider, about the Newtown teens now helping him replace a roof on his home that he lost on May 19.

The group is here through "Ben's Lighthouse," an outreach organization created to honor Ben Wheeler, a young student who died inside Sandy Hook Elementary.

The group goes back home on Friday.
