It's time to say good bye to Stage Center. An addition to the Oklahoma City skyline will mean the end of the artistic icon, but it does come at a price.

Stage Center sold Friday morning for nearly $4.3 million. Developers plan to build a 20-story office building, which is expected to include a parking garage and retail space.

"I will hate to see it go. So I came down here to take pictures of it, to have a memory of it," said Rosemary Stafford, a former usher at the theatre.

"There's just so much more action and enthusiasm in downtown Oklahoma City. This is just another step in that direction," said Peter Dolese with the Arts Council of Oklahoma City.

Stage Center closed in 2010 after severe flooding.
