A group calling for Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin to change her mind and accept billions of federal dollars to fund an expansion of health care for the poor is launching a "Motorcade for Medicaid" across the state.

The Coalition for Medicaid Expansion plans to launch motorcades at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at locations in Duncan, Lawton, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The Duncan and Lawton groups are meeting at county Democratic Party headquarters.

Participants are urged to decorate their car windows as part of efforts to educate the public about what the group says is benefits from the Medicaid expansion option allowed under the federal Affordable Care Act.

Amid vehement Republican distaste for the federal health care law, Fallin rejected the expansion last year, citing its cost.
