A motorcycle crash launched two people off the bike - killing one. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the driver was going too fast around a curve on State Highway 11 near Skiatook at about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Thomas Daniels Jr. of Pawhuska was driving a 2011 Victory southbound about a mile north of Highway 20 when he failed to make the left turn and laid the motorcycle down. Daniels and passenger Pamela Peacock of Barnsdall were thrown from the bike and came to rest about 100 feet from the crash, according to a collision report.

Peacock, 55, died at the scene of massive injuries. Daniels, 50, was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was said to be stable with head and other injuries.

Troopers say neither rider was wearing a helmet.
