YUKON, Oklahoma -

Canadian County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Yukon man last Friday who is accused of sexually abusing a child and manufacturing child pornography.

Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation contacted the Sheriff's deputies, after photos of a man sexually abusing a female toddler surfaced on the internet. Investigators say the photos originated out of the Yukon area.

Deputies reviewed the evidence and obtained a search warrant to enter the home of the suspect, 30-year-old Stephen Christensen, and took him into custody.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Christensen has been extremely uncooperative and refused a polygraph examination.

"The acts this man has committed against an innocent child causes me great anguish, and I believe if convicted, this animal should be put away for life," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.

Christensen was booked into the Canadian County Jail on several charges, including manufacturing child pornography and sexually abusing a child under the age of 12. He remains in custody with bail set at $200,000.
