Police are conducting an arson investigation in Bethany after they say a man admitted to setting his home and a local business on fire.

The first of two fires started around 4 a.m. at the Liberty Ministries Thrift Store at N.W. 23RD Street and College Avenue. Investigators say Kristafer Sanderson went to a convenience store across the street from the thrift store, and told a clerk he'd also set his home on fire.

Firefighters went to Sanderson's home in the 6700 block of NW 31st Street and discovered it was on fire. Crews quickly put out the flames.

Investigators say the man's wife and children were not home at the time of the fire. No one was injured.

Police arrested Sanderson. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for two counts of arson, one count of burglary and one count of recovered concealed stolen property.
