As teachers at Plaza Towers Elementary ring in a new school year, first grade teacher Becky Jo Evans is working to replace hundreds of Batman action figures.

Nearly all of the toys, which Evans says helped strengthen bonds between many members of the Plaza Towers community, were destroyed during the May 20, 2013 tornado.

A school official says Batman action figure donations can be sent to: 15408 Homecoming Drive, Edmond, OK 73013
