Man Arrested After Woman Assaulted During Fight At OKC Apartments

A woman says she was pistol-whipped after she and her roommate began fighting at an apartment complex in Oklahoma City.

Officers were called to the scene at the Heritage Park Apartments near N.W. 122nd Street and Penn late Tuesday night.

Police say the two women got into a verbal argument while one of the women was moving out of the apartment. Relatives of the woman who was moving out showed up and became involved in the altercation.

The victim said her roommate's nephew, 18-year-old Dailen Brown, pulled out a gun and hit her with it three times. Police said the victim originally told witnesses she'd been shot, but she wasn't. She did, however, sustain non-life threatening injuries after being beaten with the gun.

Police arrested Brown. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for assault and battery, and obstruction.
