An Oklahoma man who's been on the run for a year after a deadly drunk driving wreck is now in custody.

Investigators say James Brown of Haskell is in custody in Jackson County, Alabama, after surrendering to authorities there.

Brown is wanted for manslaughter after a wreck that killed Tonia Cruz and Clay Reynolds in July of 2010.

Court documents said he had been drinking.

Brown was arrested, but later required heart surgery and walked out of a hospital while he was supposed to be in custody last July, according to authorities.

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office says Brown will be picked up in Alabama within ten days and brought back here.
