YUKON, Oklahoma -

Homeowners in a neighborhood are outraged after a construction crew building a home there pulls a gun on one of their neighbors.

It happened in the Timber Creek addition near S.W. 15th and Mustang Rd. in Yukon.

Neighbors there say construction crews have been speeding down their street, putting children at risk of being hit by a car. This week John Farley, one of the dads in the neighborhood, waved down one of the crews they say speed in and out of the neighborhood often.

"I went to the side of the vehicle to see...what was going on. About the time I approached the window, the passenger pulled a gun, pulled the slide back and put a round in the chamber and I asked him, 'You really gonna pull a gun on me?' and he said, 'Yeah.' and pointed it at me," Farley said.

Several other neighbors were outside when this happened, including children who were playing at the basketball hoop in the cul-de-sac. A member of the homeowners association called 911 after it happened. Neighbor Mike Hicks told News 9 he was about 10 feet away and heard the gun chamber click.

Farley said police questioned the construction crew Saturday morning, but ended up not doing anything about the situation.

"Said they felt threatened so that gave them the right to point a gun at me, with nothing being said, nothing done," he said.

Homeowners in the neighborhood backed Farley up and said they hoped something would happen before someone gets injured.

"If they're carrying guns and willing to point it at anybody, who's to say one of these young people driving around makes them mad and they don't say something, they just shoot at them? Then we've got a real bad situation going on," Farley said.
