There are signs of rebirth three months after the Moore tornado. New Homes are already going up in the Plaza Towers neighborhood.

The City of Moore says they have issued between 90 and 100 building permits in the tornado areas.

Tiffany Trusdale plans to move into her new home around the first week of September.

"It's exciting," she said.

Trusdale has had to rebuild from the ground up after her house was destroyed by the tornado. She will likely be the first one to move back into the neighborhood around Plaza towers school, which took the brunt of the storm.

"It's Oklahoma, there's going to be tornados anywhere, I love Moore," Trusdale said.

But Trusdale won't be the only one for long. A handful of homes are already popping up along the flattened landscape.

"It's home, I got to rebuild," said Greg Blalock, whose house is also being rebuilt.

Blalock thinks he'll be able to move in February. He expects most of his neighbors will do the same.

"We're going to have a nice block party when it's all said and done," Blalock said.

This time Trusdale says she will be getting everything she always wanted in a home and that includes the location.

"It's home, you know, I want to be back here," she said.

The only real hold up seems to be electricity. Right now there is no power restored to the area so they are building homes using generators. Trusdale says she hopes to have electricity by the time she moves in.

An OG&E spokesperson says they will begin working in the Plaza towers neighborhood on Thursday, and power should be restored by the time homeowners are ready to move in.
