ADA, Oklahoma -

The East Central University campus in Ada remains in shock, after one of the school's baseball players was randomly gunned down and murdered Friday in Duncan.

Police say 22-year-old Chris Lane was shot and killed by a trio of teenagers while he was jogging. Lane is from Australia, but was staying with his girlfriend's family over the summer break.

Lane's teammates didn't feel like talking about their loss Monday, but ECU Athletic Director Dr. Jeff Williams says Lane was one of the most-respected players on the team.

"It sounds cliché, but this young man who moved around the world at 18 years old, and got an education and played baseball, was the definition of a student athlete."
