Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa cut the ribbon on an expanded wing of the hospital on Friday.

It more than doubled the size of the Infusion Center - where patients receive chemotherapy.

Not only is there more room for more patients, the center feels more relaxing.

Patients are treated in a private-room setting, with soft lighting and cabinets to hide much of the equipment.

Patients even helped with the new design.

"We want it to be about them and what makes them be able to go through their treatment with a positive attitude and give them the hope and healing that they need here," Infusion Services Director Pam Doak said.

Doak said the new design will set the standard for other facilities in the CTCA family.
