Silver Alert Canceled For 72-Year-Old Chouteau Man

Chouteau Police Department  canceled a silver alert Friday evening for a 72-year-old man with dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Their police chief expressed his gratitude to the community members who helped find Jerry Stafford.

"I want to thank everyone from the community that came out to drive and walk the streets of Chouteau last night to help find Jerry Stafford," said Chief of Police Lynn Hershberger on the department's Facebook page.

Police say Jerry Stafford walked away from his home in the 100 block of North Gray, in Chouteau, around 5 p.m.

They say Stafford is a white man and he was wearing black athletic pants and a yellow polo shirt.
