KELLYVILLE, Oklahoma -

The community of Kellyville showed their support in a prayer vigil Monday night for the four people killed in a weekend crash.

Family members we spoke to said they were all touched to see the community rallying around them as they continue to mourn.

"It's just so overwhelming how much they care," said Cristy Evans, who said she lost her grandmother, aunt, nephew and her grandmother's boyfriend in the car crash last Friday.

The four died when a red pickup truck struck the family's car head-on on Highway 66.

Family members say they were headed home from back-to-school shopping.

"The family was very close to one another, very loving to one another, very supportive of one another," said Pastor Jason Hutsell.

Friends of the family found it fitting to get the community together to show their support.

"One of the messages that we want to get out is that, in this community, we're a family, and though we may not know your name, know you personally, we're a family," Hutsell said.

Family members say, when they learned of the accident, they were overcome with emotion.

"Especially knowing who that was, it's real saddening," said Bill Ingram.

"It weighs on a community. I mean, people have lost neighbors, friends, and the family has lost people they've loved," Hutsell said.

"We've always been together. I get too much emotion about it," Ingram said.

David Ernst, 52, was arrested on four complaints of manslaughter after the accident.

The Creek County prosecutor said he plans to review the case when they get more information from the investigation.

Community members also collected donations for the family's funeral expenses at the service.
