Tulsa robbery detectives are looking for three women who robbed two stores, just a few hours and a few blocks apart.

Detectives say the women didn't hesitate to use violence and worry they'll strike again.

Police say the women first hit a Habitat for Hope store Friday afternoon around closing time, by knocking on the door and saying they needed to make a phone call. But once they were let inside, they pulled out a gun.

The victim says the woman claimed it was her birthday and she'd run out of gas and that's why she needed to make the call.

But, once inside, she shoved the victim up against the wall, hard, then fired off two shots into the door, right by the victim's head, and told her the next bullet would be in her brain.

They grabbed money from a lock box and took off.

Detectives say it's unusual to see women robbing and using violence.

"It's unusual to have females as robbers, period. Usually, women are not that dumb, but stupidity knows no gender," said Sgt. Brandon Watkins.

Police say the women went to a Family Dollar store just a few blocks away about four hours later.

They say the women hid inside the restroom until 30 minutes after closing, then came out with guns and robbed two employees.

They took them to the store's back room and pepper sprayed one employee, who ran out of the store. Then, police say they took a manager into another room, pepper sprayed her and took off with cash.

"They're described as two black females, one possibly a black male, or also possible black female. The last one, it could go either way," Watkins said.

Police say robbers with a similar description held up a man at gunpoint three weeks ago, and even though he gave them what they wanted, shot him in the chest anyway, and now that victim is paralyzed from the waist down.

They believe with this level of violence, the women will strike again.

Police know you can't see their faces in the surveillance images released, but they hope someone will recognize the women's mannerisms or clothing, especially the black hat with the yellow bill.

If you do, call Crime Stoppers. Police say they don't automatically go out and make an arrest, but it gives them a good place to start. That number is 918-596-COPS.
