Broken Arrow Police arrested a Tulsa couple after an officer saw their car driving erratically on the Broken Arrow Expressway Tuesday night.

The officer stated in his report that as he approached the car, "a large amount of smoke was coming from within the vehicle" and he saw a 20-month-old child in a rear safety seat.

He arrested Romaneka Hankins, 21, and Cameron Smith, 21, after a search of their car turned up a partially burned marijuana cigarette in the glove box and the officer conducted a field sobriety test.

Both were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of a controlled drug in the presence of a minor and child abuse/neglect. Hankins was also booked on a complaint of DUI.

The police report stated the child was being "forcibly exposed to marijuana smoke."

Jail records show bond for Hankins was $56,900 and for Smith, $30,000.
