Police have identified two men they say may be involved in five armed robberies and two shootings early Tuesday near downtown Tulsa.

Travon N. Williams, 17, and Juan A. Cox, 20, were taken into custody Tuesday morning.

Tulsa Police responded to a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg near 7th and Houston just after 6 a.m. The victim told officers he was under a bridge on Quanah Avenue when two men took his bicycle and shot him.

EMSA took him to the hospital.

At about the same time, officers got a report of an armed robbery near Archer and Union. That robbery victim also told police he was held up by two men who took his bicycle, phone and other personal items.

A third victim was approached around 2000 West Katy Trail. That victim told police both men had guns and pointed them at the back of his head. They pistol-whipped him, took his wallet and told him to run. As the robbery victim ran, the men fired at him.

The men went to the 2200 block of West Katy Trail where they pistol-whipped a fourth man, took his cell phone, wallet and birth certificate.

A fifth victim said the men stopped him in the 2500 block of the West Katy trail. Cox and Williams told this man they were police officers, pointed a gun at him and stole his backpack, according to an arrest report.

Police say they spotted the men armed with a handgun on the Katy walking trail at 3rd and 49th West Avenue and arrested both with the help of a K-9 officer.

Officers say they recovered the shooting victim's bicycle.

Police say both Williams and Cox were arrested for five counts of armed robbery and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
