An empty car in a northbound freight train derailed Monday morning in Oologah.

Union Pacific Railroad says the incident occurred at 7:18 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 88 and Highway 169. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the train blocked the Highway 88 crossing for about four hours. The highway has since reopened.

Police say no other crossings in the community were closed.

The railroad says no one was injured on the 95-car train. It sent a crew to fix the car and put its wheels back on the track.

Union Pacific says it doesn't know the cause of the derailment.
