Person Of Interest In Custody After Shooting In Wewoka

A person of interest is in custody and a victim in serious condition after a shooting in the town of Wewoka, Okla. Wednesday afternoon.

Wewoka Police, along with the Seminole County Sheriff's Department, were called to the scene in the 1400 block of Seminole Rd. in Wewoka.

Few details have been released. Police tell News 9 the victim was taken from the scene by medical helicopter. Neither the victim's nor the person of the person-of-interest's identity is known at this time.

The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
