A traffic stop in Chickasha led to one man's arrest, and started the search for the true owners of some jewelry, baseball cards, and other items.
An officer stopped 23-year-old Levi Garretson on September 3 around 11:45 p.m. for a traffic violation. The officer arrested Garretson after learning he was driving with a suspended license. Garretson was also out on bond for a charge of knowingly concealing stolen property. He also had an upcoming revocation hearing in Grady County for a drug trafficking charge.
While searching Garretson's pickup truck, the officer discovered a bag and a plastic case filled with several pieces of jewelry including watches, necklaces, and rings. The officer also found baseball cards in protective sleeves, as well as night vision goggles and a pinhole camera.
Police are concerned the items may be stolen. Anyone who is missing the items is urged to call the Chickasha Police Department at (405) 222-6050, or Crime Stoppers at (405) 222-TIPS.
Police are not releasing pictures of the jewelry and other merchandise because they want the real owners to accurately describe the items.
Garretson was booked into the Grady County Jail for driving while suspended, failure to wear a seatbelt, and license plate screened.
