Carjacking Suspect In Custody Following Chase In Norman

A carjacking leads to a police pursuit in Norman just before noon on Thursday.

Norman Police arrested Michael Vinson, 20. Police say the victim was carjacked by Vinson at the Forrest Point Apartments off Oak Tree, near 12th Avenue. A chase started soon after but ended at S.W. 89th and Sunny Lane.

Norman police took the Vinson into custody. He faces charges of robbery or attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, eluding police, larceny of an auto, leaving the scene of an accident and no valid driver's license.
