Oklahoma State 56, UTSA 35: By The Numbers

No. 13 Oklahoma State took care of business on Saturday with a 56-35 victory against UT-San Antonio. Here are some stats that stick out from the victory:

1 – The number of third downs OSU faced in the entire first half.

24 – Consecutive games in which the Cowboys have had a scoring drive of two minutes or less. OSU had three such drives against the Roadrunners in the second quarter.

11:22 – The time left on the clock in the second quarter when Oklahoma State surpassed its passing total from the Mississippi State game (146 yards).

10 – Consecutive completions for J.W. Walsh to start the game.

3 – The number of incomplete passes for Walsh (24-of-27)

5 – The number of touchdowns for Walsh.

28 – Points given up by the OSU defense in the fourth quarter alone after giving up just 10 through the first seven quarters of the season.

2 – Number of interceptions by the Cowboy defense for the second straight week. Linebackers Shaun Lewis and Ryan Simmons picked off UTSA quarterback Eric Soza, who had only thrown three interceptions in the past two seasons.

7 – The number of penalties called against OSU, which isn't bad, but five of them were for offsides on defense, which is bad.

81 – Wearing Justin Blackmon's number comes with some pressure but redshirt freshman Jhajuan Seales looked a lot like the former No. 81 on Saturday. He impressed with seven catches for 87 yards and scored OSU's first touchdown of the game.

81 (again) – It's worth noting that UTSA's No. 81, Kenny Bias, touched the ball five times against OSU (3 catches, 2 carries) resulting in three touchdowns.

605 – Total yards for Oklahoma State, marking a nice return to its high-octane offense a week after an uncharacteristically modest outing in the season opener.

56 – The number of points scored by OSU, marking the 16th time Oklahoma State has eclipsed the 50-point mark since 2010.
