Fair time is here and News 9's Road Trip, presented by Oklahoma City Community College, is excited to once again be a part of the fun at State Fair Park.
The News 9 team will be out at the fair grounds every day this year from September 12-22nd under the big red tent inside gate one. Visit us between 10am and 8:00pm to meet some of your favorite News 9 anchors, and support the fight against childhood hunger in our state by donating to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food For Kids program. For a full list of anchor meet and greet times, check out the full schedule below.
NEW this year—News 9's Kiss A Pig Contest: That's right—this year you can vote for which News 9 anchor you would like to kiss a pig! Bring a donation to drop in the anchor's donation box that you would like to kiss a pig.
All visitors at the News 9 booth 18 years of age or younger can pick up a News 9 weather tip bookmark and play News 9 Plink-O to win great free prizes. Also, adults who donate $5.00 or more to the Food for Kids initiative can play Plink-O for their own News 9 gear. All proceeds benefit the Food For Kids Program.
We also will be recording Bus Stop Forecasts at our booth during designated time periods. Individuals and groups interested in participating can stop by and record a short intro to be used during the morning show weather segment during the school year with News 9 Meteorologist Jed Castles. All you have to do is be excited and ask "Hey Jed, What's The Bus Stop Forecast?"
Also in the News 9 booth, be sure to stop by and visit the Oklahoma City Community College booth. Learn more about the great classes and degree programs offered right down the road at OCCC.
There's plenty to do out at the fair, so bring the family and friends and enjoy the rides, exhibits, sights, sounds and tastes of the 2013 Oklahoma State Fair!
