The Oklahoma County District Attorney has filed a negligent homicide charge against a man whose girlfriend was killed when he crashed his motorcycle into a cable barrier.

Chad Frisby, 35, was driving his motorcycle on August 24 on Lake Hefner Parkway near NW Expressway. His girlfriend, Sherel Caskey, was his passenger.

Police say around 11:30 a.m., Caskey began to lose her glasses. Investigators say Frisby looked back, causing his motorcycle to veer off the road and hit a cable barrier.

Both Caskey and Frisby were thrown off the bike. Caskey was rushed to OU Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. Frisby was also injured, but recovered.

Prosecutors say Frisby's inattention caused the accident, and that he drove with "reckless disregard for the safety of others." He was charged Wednesday with negligent homicide in Caskey's death.
