TULSA, Oklahoma -

To say Cowboys fans are upset at the claims made in Sports Illustrated's five-part investigative series on the school's football program would certainly be an understatement.

Alumni and supporters say this has been a week unlike any other. One Oklahoma State University grad is encouraging Cowboys to wear their support proudly.

The press is always moving at Greenhouse Clothing, churning out one shirt after another. Friday, the shelves saw a new addition bearing the phrase: "I Ride With the Cowboys."

"It's been a unified front," said Bryan Schooley.

"We started there in Stillwater, born and bred OSU fans, OSU family," Schooley said.

It's been a tough week for OSU fans. Sports Illustrated's investigation alleges the Les Miles era launched payouts to players, didn't do enough to help players who used drugs, and provided sex to recruits.

"It makes you a little upset that somebody would be given the right in a national standpoint and just make stuff up," Schooley said.

Schooley admits some of the allegations may be true, but he questions the credibility of many of the players who spoke to SI, as well as the motive of author Thayer Evans.

"It does make me think somebody's trying to pick on Oklahoma State, because they got a bone to pick," he said.

Schooley said the phrase, "I Ride With the Cowboys," means a lot to the faithful in orange, and he couldn't start making the t-shirts fast enough.

He said Cowboy fans will always stay true, no matter what comes their way.

"We're Cowboy fans, because of the culture. Stillwater's a great town, OSU's a great university, and it's a big family. When somebody attacks somebody in your family you rally around them and say, 'I'm a Cowboy, you're a Cowboy, through and through,'" Schooley said.

Schooley said he wishes the Sports Illustrated article would have looked at the positive things that turned the OSU program around instead of just the negative.
