It was an emotional reunion for a father whose daughter vanished three years ago while she was on a custody visit with her mother.

The girl and her mother evaded authorities since 2010 at times living in motels and out on the streets, according to the U.S. Marshals who tracked the pair down on Monday.

Tuesday morning, William Warren finally saw his now 13-year-old daughter, Lillie.

"I'm happy, she's happy and just want to get her home now," said Warren. "I don't think I've been so happy in the last three years. My daughter and I had a really excellent bond and to have it just ripped away like that, it really causes problems for you."

U.S. Marshal, Marc Crawford, said their office in Kansas City got a tip about Lillie Warren and her mother Carla Osborne's location. They began watching a house in the 100 block of Sahoma Terrace in Edmond.

Crawford said marshals saw Osborne and decided to move in. They rescued Lillie Warren and arrested her 52-year-old mother, who is now accused of kidnapping. Crawford also said that after the pair went missing three years ago, William Warren received a call from his estranged wife who told him that he would never see their daughter again.

Three years later, Warren and his daughter were reunited at the Oklahoma City Juvenile Justice Center.

Warren said he had never lost hope over the three years and knew deep down that he would find his daughter.

"I knew that someday, at some point, that we'd see each other again and I just held onto that thought, knowing that, because I know that I am a responsible individual, I know that I'm a man that wants to provide for my child and my home. Just given the time that I could find her," he said. "The search went on and today it's ending."

Crawford said Osborne and her daughter were taken in by a family. A family member at the house told News 9 they were not aware of the whole situation that had taken place and were only trying to do a good deed by helping out a mom and her daughter who were in need.

Warren said the his daughter became attached to the family who took her in and that she felt guilty leaving them. Warren also thanked those who helped his daughter but said he was ready to care of her.

Warren said the his daughter was shaken up by the whole experience.

"At this point she's a little confused but she's happy. I think we both are. I guess now the real work starts, just trying to get her back on course," Warren said.

That was no surprise to Crawford.

"She's been almost like in a prison for three years. They've been on the run, they've been evading law enforcement, she hasn't been in school to evade law enforcement. They've been living homelessly, they've been living in motels just trying to hide from authorities. That's a lot for a child," Crawford said.

Crawford said that William Warren played a big role in finding his daughter by staying on top of the case and passing along credible information along to authorities.
