On Saturday, Norman Police Captain Tom Easley confirmed that officers have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with Williams' murder. He was booked into the Cleveland County Jail just after 11 p.m. Friday, on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.

Detectives learned that the suspect lived in the same apartment complex as the victim, and officers believe he was burglarizing the victim's apartment when he shot Williams.

Formal charges are pending with the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office, and investigators expect the juvenile to be charged as an adult next week.

Police have not released the suspect's identity.
