Storms are likely in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles as well as far western OK this evening and some of them could be severe.

The main threats with any storms that develop will be large hail, and damaging winds. The tornado threat will be low, but not zero, especially in any storms that can stay discrete/isolated.

Storms are expected to move into the western and northwestern Oklahoma from Harmon to Woods County between 7 and 10 PM. Initially storm movement will be NE, but as the upper level system moves east, storms will form into a line and push eastward.

Shower and t-storms will continue to push eastward overnight as a cold front sweeps thru the state. Overnight and early morning storms will be capable of gusty winds, heavy rain, lots of lightning, and small hail, the tornado threat will be low. Rain is expected to make it into the OKC metro after 2:00 AM Saturday morning. Rain will be winding down in western Oklahoma by late morning Saturday and moving out of central OK by the early evening.

Some areas could see .5"- 1" with localized higher amounts. The heaviest totals will be in SE OK.
