The 2013 Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure is underway in downtown Tulsa at ONEOK Field.

On Race Day Saturday, September 28, men and women who are fighting breast cancer and their supporters are turning Tulsa pink.

All the booths, vendors and activities will be centered in and around ONEOK Field and the race course will take participants through downtown Tulsa and the Brady Arts District.

News On 6 anchor LeAnne Taylor, a cancer survivor and past president of Susan G. Komen Tulsa, is on hand for the event.

Survivors met for breakfast as other picked up their packets and prepared to race. The timed 5K run started at 7:30 a.m. while an untimed 5K began at 9 a.m.

The highlight of the day is when breast cancer survivors join together in a parade and ceremony. LeAnne will mark the 10th anniversary of her breast cancer diagnosis in November, 2013.
