Motorcycle Rider Dies After Collision With Horse In Adair County

ADAIR COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Westville man died after his motorcycle hit a horse on a highway in Adair County Sunday evening, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP report states Robert Green, 76, was riding south on Highway 59 south of Watts when his 2000 Honda motorcycle struck the horse at about 9:30 p.m.

The impact sent the cycle off the road and into a ditch. Green was taken to a Siloam Springs, Arkansas hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers said Green was wearing a helmet at the time
