Tulsa Police say a human skull found in a yard late Monday may belong to a missing Tulsan.

Officers were called to the yard in the 2300 block of West 31st Street North at about 11 p.m.

Homicide investigator Sgt. Dave Walker believes coyotes moved the skull from the woods nearby to the yard where it was found.

Walker stated in a news release, "we are confident that the skull will be identified and believe that it belongs to a missing Tulsan."

He says the skull had obvious signs of trauma and it has been turned over the state Medical Examiner's Office to determine the manner of death and to make a positive ID.
