Police Seek Woman Accused Of Murder At OKC Motel

Oklahoma City police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman, who reportedly confessed to killing a man at a Southwest Oklahoma City motel.

The woman police are looking for is 26-year-old Misty Dawn Herrin. She was recently in jail, accused of stealing a car in August. She was also arrested back in 2007 for possession of stolen credit cards. Now she's wanted for murder.

Police were called out to Route 66 Inn off I-40 and Meridian just after 2 a.m. on September 14, after someone found 39-year-old Bernard Anglin bleeding nearby.

"My little girl said she heard two loud shots," said Timothy Bivins. He and his two children are staying at the hotel and were here the night it happened.

"It worries me," said Bivins. "But crime is basically everywhere."

Anglin was rushed to a local hospital, but later died from his injuries.

We checked, and Anglin has a long rap sheet dating back to the early 1990's, and has served time in prison on multiple drug charges.

Police received information at the scene that a woman matching Herrin's name and alias was the one believed to have shot Anglin, but right now we don't know the reason why.

The arrest warrant says during the investigation, detectives spoke to two separate witnesses who stated Herrin confessed to them that she had shot Bernard Anglin in the face at the Route 66 Inn.

Right now police are still actively trying to find Herrin. The arrest warrant says she goes by the street name Loca.
