Pedestrian Killed On SW OKC Street

Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident in southwest Oklahoma City that left an elderly woman dead.

Police say around 6 a.m. Thursday, a woman in her 70s was crossing the street at the intersection of S.W. 65th Street and Pennsylvania to get to a bus stop. Police say the driver of a black pickup truck saw the woman but was unable to stop in time, and hit her.

The victim died at the scene. She's been identified as 74-year-old Lillian Lohmann.

The driver stayed at the scene and spoke to police. Officers questioned the driver and impounded the truck.

Police say neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the accident.
